A rainbow smoothie

A smoothie made of half a melon, half a pineapple, raspberries, a banana and a grapefruit, which clearly get in name from the different colour of its ingredients.

Royal exotic smoothie

A very complete exotic smoothie made of a banana, an orange, yellow and pink grapefruits, 2 kiwis, some pineapple, a mango and a papaya (You can tell I live East London, ahence cheap and easy access to loads of exotic markets and fresh fruits :-))

A citrus exotic classic

Freshly squeeze yellow and pink grapefruits, a banana, a papaya, half a pineapple, 6-8 strawberries.

Very nice!!

I have started to learn that to make a good smoothie you need to have some juice/liquid to start with. It can be made on the spot from fresh fruits, e.g. apple, carrot, ginger, oranges, grapefruits, or come from processed fruit juices ( I have never done so as not that healthy) or just any type of milk ( coconut, soya, oats).

A carrot, apple, celery and ginger home made juice this morning using the centrifugeuse. A good and healthy alternative to a smoothie.

Ginger has a very strong taste so please even though you might be after the aphrodisiac effects of ginger, try not to put too much of it. Its bitter taste could seriously damage the taste of the juice, by destroying the taste of the other fruits ;-)

The classic exoctic smoothie

A couple of freshly squueeze oranges, a banana, a mango, a papaya, 1/3 of a pineapple and 6-8 strawberries.

A grand classic as you can find nowdays all fruits pretty easily.

Very tasty as well as they do mix well together. I in fact did get a new convert to smoothie with that one today :-)

Not to be missed as so easy to prepare!!!
